by Step Instructions
FOR THE
UNSKILLED COMPUTER USER? If you are not a skilled computer user we have prepared a step by step
illustration of the download and set up process. It is simple.

NOTE: You will see Phoenix
Messenger or DeskTop Alerts-They are they same thing
STEP BY STEP
INSTRUCTIONS:
Fill in the forms and follow the instructions as the come up.
EXAMPLE FORMS
DISPLAYED - DO NOT ENTER YOUR DATA HERE-THESE ARE DUMMY FORMS TO HELP YOU
SEE HOW TO DO A SIMPLE, QUICK INSTALLATION.
NOTE: Be sure to
SAVE the USERNAME AND PASSWORD you enter here as you will need them later.
1) Click on

2) Follow
the prompts...it's simple..
Be sure to save the USERNAME AND PASSWORD that you enter as you'll need it
later.

Username: We recommend using your Phoenix USERNAME

Password: Recommend using the same PASSWORD that you
use for The Phoenix System

Password: Re-enter your password to assure that
it is correct
-
First Name: Your first name
-
Last Name: Your last name
-
E-Mail: Enter
the same E-Mail address as you have on file at Phoenix
NOTE: Be sure to
SAVE the USERNAME AND PASSWORD you enter here as you will need them later.
3) This
appears on your screen: 
4) Check
your e-mail.
It looks like this. Follow the
instructions in the e-mail.

YOURUSERNAME
You have created a
new user account.
You must download and
install the necessary alert software.
It can be found
here:
http://www.Phoenixmessenger.biz/download/AlertSetup.exe
You must have
Microsoft's .NET Framework version 2.0 installed on your computer in order
to install and run the alert software.
The first time you
run the alert software you will be asked for the following information:
Username: THE USER
NAME YOU HAD ENTERED
Password: THE
PASSWORD YOU HAD ENTERED
That's it. You'll be
receiving alerts in no time!

5) You
will see this next on your screen
when you click on
http://www.Phoenixmessenger.biz/download/AlertSetup.exe
in your e-mail. It's ok to click on RUN.
6) You will
then see this:

click on RUN.
8) Then
Enter your Username and Password,
exactly as it is displayed in the e-mail you just received.
Note: If you had a
previous installation of this software and are unable to obtain verification
of your Username and Password you will need to go to your Control Panel and
remove DeskTop Alert Software. Then, start over at step (1) above.

9) When installation is complete you will find a
small Radio Antennae in your ICON TRAY in the lower right corner of your
computer. If you don't see it click on the blue ball with the left
arrow in it; it may be hidden.
